Team Member's Personal Information

When you join gaiia, you give us information about yourself for payroll, benefits, and emergency purposes. The people and Finance team deals specifically with your requests about your employment information, and are responsible for ensuring that your personal information remains confidential throughout your career with us. Your personal information is not collected, used, or disclosed except in accordance with the guidelines of applicable privacy laws. You have the right to request to see your personal information and are encouraged to reach out to the People and Finance team if you are interested.

Changes to Personal Information

It’s important that we get your information right. If your personal information changes, you are responsible to notify the Culture & People team and update Rippling. Personal information includes data provided for tax and benefits purposes, such as a banking information, marital status, name and number of dependents, health information, and contact information.

Collecting Personal Information

All information that gaiia obtains from any person, including team members and candidates is accompanied by disclosure for the reason of collection, consent for its use, and a guarantee that the information will be safeguarded and used only for the stated purpose.

Unless the purposes for collecting personal information are obvious and the team members voluntarily provides their personal information for those purposes, we will communicate the purposes for which personal information is being collected, either orally or in writing, before or at the time of collection.

We will only collect team members' information that is necessary to fulfill the following purposes:

• Name, address, phone number, cell phone number and e-mail address for the purpose of communicating.
• Banking information, social insurance number, criminal records check, resume, and beneficiaries for gaiia payroll, company insurance and health plan.
• Background check and related personal reference information for the purpose of recruitment.
• Contact information for use in the event of a medical
