Overview

We are happy to give you access to our group insurance from Canada Life.

Group insurance is like a team deal for insurance. If you're part of a group, like through work, everyone gets covered under one policy. It includes things like health, life, travel and dental coverage. It's a way to make sure everyone in the group is protected and taken care of.

Group insurance is mandatory when you have access to it, but you can be exempted if you got another insurance, for example, with your spouse (insurance with RAMQ does not count).

Things to Know Before You Enrol

Coverage Options

Family Coverage

If you have dependents, you’ll need to select one of the following options:

  1. Waiving Coverage – If you have duplicate spousal coverage, you can waive health and dental coverage for yourself and/or your dependents.
  2. Family Coverage with Coordination of Benefits – If you have a spousal plan, you can still enrol for family coverage and assign coordination of benefits.

Single Coverage

If you do not have dependents, you must enrol in the plan for all benefits.

After You Submit Your Application

Once your application is processed, Canada Life will send you a follow-up message with a new personalized link to access important information about your benefits. This link is only available for a limited time.
